Happy Sunday everyone! I don’t know about you but I swear all I have done this weekend is eat 🙈 – some of you have even picked up on that on SnapChat! I blame it all on the McElhinneys event I was at earlier this week. McElhinneys are feeders! From dinner to cocktails, canapés to prosecco we were stuffed.
I knew after receiving the amazing invitation to the McElhinneys Exclusive Blogger event that is was going to be spectacular. They have taken so much time and put in so much effort into the stunning invitations which were accompanied by fresh flowers and a balloon.
McElhinneys kindly booked me a hotel room in the Villa Rose Hotel, Ballybofey inclusive of dinner, breakfast and spa treatment. I was so annoyed I couldn’t get to try the spa or breakfast but unfortunately I had to be back in Belfast early on Friday morning. The fellow bloggers have assured me the spa was unbelievable!
After being treated to dinner in Faras Restaurant we were directed to a cocktail and prosecco reception. This gave us all a chance to catch up and have a good gossip about what the event could entail! Shortly after, our suited and booted escorts arrived to guide us over to McElhinneys for the magical evening to commence.
On arrival, we were welcomed by the McElhinneys staff accompanied by a champagne reception. After being guided upstairs, the event really started. The bridal rooms were decorated by LilyAnabella and they were INCREDIBLE! With mood lighting and candles guiding us through the bridal reception we were able to peek into each one of the bridal rooms to see a model and the room decorations epitomising each of the four seasons. Further inside, we were treated to personalised McElhinneys and LilyAnabella cocktails by Voodoo Venue Letterkenny, cupcakes by Truly Scrumptious Omagh, and a DJ.
With Mr McElhinney there himself, the staff at McElhinneys and LilyAnabella couldn’t have been more welcoming. Every time I entered one of the rooms I seen something more intriguing and exciting. Not only were we treated to a bag of goodies but each room also had a “favour like” gift for each blogger.
The event was a huge success and is a massive credit to all of those involved at McElhinneys.
McElhinneys is only a two hour drive from Belfast and is one of the largest bridal stockists in Ireland housing over 500 designers such as Pronovias, Maggie Sottero, Ian Stuart, Lizzie Agnew and Victoria Jane in French boudoir styled rooms. It is definitely worth a visit to some of the most well trained and helpful staff.
