Driving up the long, winding drive way, the sun was shining, the smell of freshly cut grass filled the car and then from behind the draping trees came the sight we had travelled all the way to enniskillen for, the manor house hotel, in all it’s yellow painted glory!
From the moment we entered the hotel we were treated like royalty!! The staff were so helpful and even gave us a quick tour thankfully, as it’s very easy to get lost in. Unfortunately, they had to mention their bistro, which to my boyfriends delight also shows sports tv so that was our first night planned!! But I was soon smiling again when we were escorted to our beautiful room….
Even a few rain clouds couldn’t spoil that view!! Sadly, it was the typical northern irish summer weather, but lucky the manor has a brilliant spa and leisure area! Hours were spent in the pool, sauna and steam room! But the highlight would have to be relaxing in the outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the grounds and the lough! Definitely a perfect Monday 🙂
However, if you do get a sunny day there are plenty of activities available in the hotel including tennis courts, a golf course and river cruises on the beautiful lough Erne. Being in close proximity to enniskillen centre also means there are opportunities for quick shopping trips!!
Not only are the facilities top class but the food served in the hotel was unreal! With numerous dishes there was something to suit everyone’s palets, and if you have a sweet tooth like me you would greatly appreciate the desserts!!
And I especially have to mention their breakfast! With a buffet providing cereals, pastries and cold meats and cooked breakfasts, this breakfast lover was in her element! With a big pot of tea to accompany it all of course 🙂
However, out break had to end and after just 2 nights I was extremely sad to say goodbye!
My stay in the manor house hotel was everything I wanted and more! I couldn’t recommend it more highly, whether it’s for a romantic break, a change scenery or just a few sneaky days off work then this is the place to go!!
