Wedding Stationery – Traditional vs. modern

Let’s be realistic. Your wedding stationery is the first thing most of your guests get to see about your wedding. It’s what they base their perceptions of what your day will be like on and in most cases it forms the basis of what colour they think your bridesmaids will be!

With that in mind, stationery styles have broadened incredibly within the last few years. Pre 2000 it was all cream, embossing and calligraphy but now there are so many more options! From rustic thread to laser cut card there is so much more choice than the traditional ribbon tied invite sent off in a crisp white envelope!

Themes
A more unique invite is the perfect way to introduce your guests to the fact that you are hosting a theme throughout your wedding. Monochrome weddings were huge in 2014 and invites based on this principle were the quickest way of introducing this to guest. As where rustic weddings with brown card and twine ties.

Paperless
Some people are even choosing to go PAPERLESS and use their “wedding website” to invite guests and receive their RSVP’s.

DIY
With the introduction of so many craft shops, more and more couples are evening choosing to design and make their invites from home utilising sites such as YouTube and craft blogs to help them create their invites.
